Who are you? The famous question posed by Absolem, the blue caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. And a question that should be posed to all voters. I believe that everyone should be able to produce some form of valid identification. Isn’t it interesting that you need to show an ID to to cash a check, board a plane or to buy beer. Apparently asking for an ID in these situations is not a problem but asking for an ID to cast a ballot in a presidential election is a problem. Really? Proponents to abolish voter ID say it is discriminatory against the poor (mainly minorities and latinos) because they cannot afford the administrative burden to get an ID. I wonder how they cash checks, board a plane or buy beer.
